  • Moot Court Association conducting moot court training on every Saturday under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Sharmila Ghuge.
  • Book discussion of Michale Chabon’s book “A Story of Detection” was conducted by American Center Library on 28th August, 2015.

  • Demo Moot Court was organized for the I LL. B. students. Dr. Sharmila Ghuge conducted moot court training on 19th, September, 2015, for upcoming Intra- Moot Court competition. to be held on 10th October, 2015.

  • Department of Life Long Learning Extension orientation was conducted.

  • Court visit was organized for II LL. B. students. About 40 students visited Small Causes Court, Family Court and Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Bandra. The court visit was organized in order to give practical learning experience to the students. During the visit students got an opportunity to observe proceedings in different court rooms.

  • Legal literacy program on “Mental Health Act” was organized on World mental Health Day, in association with Mumbai District Legal Services Authority.

  • Third Intra- collegiate moot court competition was conducted on 19th October, 2015. Thirty teams (three participants in each team) took part in the competition. Twenty three advocates were invited to judge. Adv. Rajesh Singh and Adv. Nilesh Pawaskar judged the final round. Team consisting of Pranav Avhad, Nikhil Thakkar and Bhayva Bhankharia were winner and team consisting of Gaurav Anarkat, Priyank Shah and Priyanka Shah was the runner up.

  • A visit to the Andheri East Police station was organised for First LL.B on 20th January, 2016 by Prof Priya Shah and Prof .Dr. Sharmila Ghuge.

  • Twenty five students visited IMC Suresh Kotak International ADR Centre along with Dr. A. K. Singh and Dr. Sharmila Ghuge on 28th January, 2016.

  • A Court Visit was organized by Dr. Sharmila Ghuge for Third LL.B. students to Bombay High Court on 1st February, 2016.

  • Court Visit was organized by Dr. Chhaya Shah for the students to Andheri Metropolitan Magistrates Court, at Andheri on 11th February, 2016.

  • Jail Visit was organized by Adv. Santosh Shrivastava for the Third LL.B to Byculla Jail as a part of curriculum, learning and acquiring knowledge of condition of prisoners, on 13th February, 2016.

  • As a part of curriculum, learning and acquiring practical knowledge, forty students accompanied with Prof. Sushma Mhaske visited juvenile Observation Home, Umarkhadi, Dongri on 20th February, 21016.

  • Orientation programme for I LL. B. was conducted on 31th August, 2015.

  • Teachers’ day and fresher’s meet was organized by the students on 5th, September, 2015.

  • Hindi elocution competition was organised in association with Hindustani Prachar Sabha on 19th September. Topic was “Mritu Varan Ka Adhikar”- Euthanasia. About 30 students participated. Rukmini Chaudhary won first prize, Ankita Sharma won second prize and Apeksha Shah third prize. Cash prize of Rs. 3000/-, 2000/- and 1500/- was sponsored by Hindustani Prachar Sabha.

  • Workshop on Cyber Crime was conducted on 30th September 2015, by Mr. Sachin Dedhia, a certified hacker. Wherein the topics covered were types of Security, social networking frauds, modus operendi of cybercrime, complete pc hacking & employee monitoring, recovering deleted data, mobile hacking & security, cyber law & its Administration  etc.

  • 51st A.D. Shroff Memorial Elocution Competition was held on 17th October, 2015. Shrey Shah was the winner; Rukmini Chaudhary and Bhoomi Daftary were runner ups.

  • First term DLLE orientation program was conducted by field coordinator, Dr. Shrima P. Banerjee on 16th October, 2015. This year 299 students have enrolled for DLLE program.

  • ‘LAKSHYA-16’ college Sports Day was organized on 12th March, 2016. Students & staff participated in indoor games like Table-Tennis, Carom, Chess, one Minute Skipping, Hit the Target, Shooting, Tug of war and Box Cricket.

  • Annual Day was organized on 2nd April; 2016.Veteran actors Mr. Pankaj Dheer and Mr. Jeetu Verma actor, dance director, action director and singer were the guests of honour. Along with the conventional cultural performances by the students, academic certificates for excellence were given away to deserving students.

  • Shipra Tanna, Siddhi Vora and Kashyapi Desai participated in 1st State Level Trial Advocacy Moot Competition, 2015 organized by G. H. Raisoni Law School, Nagpur.

  • Shreyas Shah, Rukshin Ghiara and Kinchit Shah participated in Justice Dr. B. P. Saraf Moot Court Competition, 2016.

  • Shreyash Shah, Rukshin Ghiara and Kinchit Shah were trained for 2nd NUJS- Justice Dr. D. B. Saraf National Tax Moot Court Competition, (Eastern Zone) 2016 on 9th & 10 January 2016.

  • Rukshin Ghiara, Nidhi Singh and Archit Bhatt were trained for National Moot Court competition organised by VES College of Law.

  • Vaibhav Birmole and Harsh Nishar participated in Dr. P. W. Rege Moot Court Competition conducted by New Law College, Mumbai.

  • Vidya Thakur, Archit Bhatt and Prastut Vora participated at 11th National Moot Court competition, 2016, organized by G. H. Raisoni Law School, Nagpur on 11-13 March, 2016 and won best researcher’s award.

  • Siddhi Vora, Kashyapi Desai and Vaibhav Birmole were runner up at Al-Ameen College of Law – National Moot Court Competition 2016. 

  • Library Orientation was conducted for all the students.
  • Adv. Zujer Udaipuri, conducted a workshop for the students of II & III LL.B. on Drafting, Pleading & Conveyancing on 24th August, 2015.
  • Adv. Asim Vidyarthi conducted workshop on “Consumer Protection Act: Practical Aspects” for II LL. B. students.
  • Soft skills and resume writing workshop was conducted by Ms. Krishna Chande. 
  • Legal Literacy Workshop was organized in association with Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan, Mumbai. The workshop was inaugurated by Hon’ble Justice S. C. Dharmadhikari, sitting Judge, Bombay High Court.
  • Dr. Sharmila Ghuge conducted workshop on writing memorial for moot court for 3rd LL. B. students.
  • Adv. Juzer Udaipuri conducted a workshop on ‘Law Firm Management’.

  • Cristina Carlos won second prize in Elocution and Shipra Tanna won the first Consolation prize. Rukmini Chaudhary & Cristina Carlos won second prize in debate competition at Talenzziaa organized by Tolani College of Commerce, Andheri.
  • Ankit Bhatia and Riddhi were runner up in ‘Speed it Like Beckham’ at Umang 2015 organized by N.M. College.
  • Anal Desai is shortlisted as finalist in the INBA-Novartis Debate 2015 held at Mumbai University, organized by Mumbai University in association with Novartis India Limited and Indian National Bar Association.

  • Waqar Pathan and Ankita Sharma are selected for the Mumbai University team for Squash Tournament.
  • Waqar Pathan represented University of Mumbai in Inter-University Squash Tournament held at Haridwar and won silver medal.  
  • Cristina Carlos won 2nd prize in Elocution Competition at Inter-collegiate festival on 12th and 13th January, 2016 organized by B. K. Amlani College of Commerce & Economics.
  • Shipra Tanna and Kashyapi Desai won second prize in Narrative Jurisprudence and Judgement writing competition at Shastrarth – A Legal Philosophical Discourse organized by Pravin Gandhi College of Law.
  • Cristina Carlos won First Prize in Elocution competition at Inter-collegiate Fest ‘Waves’ organized by CWC College of Law on 26th February, 2016.
  • Our student Ms. Urvi Kotak won Second prize in poster making competition in extension work (DLLE) at Annual festival ‘Uddan: The Flight of Extension’ on 4th February, 2016.
